I’ve been saying, again and again, that coaches need to be more transparent and have more connection to each other.
Saying is good.
Doing something about it is even better.
Thus, I started a YouTube show with the working title “C2C Central,” where C2C = Coach To Coach. I want honest, authentic, raw conversations with new and experienced coaches to learn about their struggles, wins, experiences, stories, and more.
I just published the show's first episode with my good friend, Harsh Budholiya, a breathwork and meditation coach.
If you want to jump in and watch the whole episode, it's here:
If you need a bit more nudge, here are some golden nuggets from our conversation.
How to figure out your niche/ your ideal client?
- Your best client is you 2-3 years back.
- It helps you to understand their pains and their struggles, and you can relate to them.
- Your task is to figure out where they are and bridge the gap so that they understand the problem, learn about the solution, and take a step toward buying your product/services.
Wisdom from Harsh: “Your client is you few years ago.”
How to balance coaching and your day job
- Start with gratitude toward your current job
- Accept your current phase of life
- Play a long-term game
Wisdom from Harsh: “You've got to have a certain degree of gratitude toward your job.”
What are some challenges & mistakes at the start of building a coaching business?
- Building and keeping momentum
- Giving up too quickly
- Unrealistic expectations
Wisdom from Harsh: “Thing big, act small.”
How to win this game?
- Build personal resilience and resilient business.
- Just do “three more reps” - don’t give up momentum, wait for the compound effect to take place.
- Process unresolved emotions (e.g., imposter syndrome, fear, doubt)
Wisdom from Harsh: “People with high expectations have low resilience.”
There are two sides to ambition
- The light side: the internal, the aligned one that motivates and fuels you
- The dark side: the external one that blocks and depresses you
Wisdom from Harsh: “Prevent burnout at all costs.”
Well, I hope this sparked enough interest and you're ready to listen/watch the episode.

Actions for this week
- Watch/listen to the episode. When I tell people that I "listen" to YouTube, they don't understand. Well, I listen to YouTube when I clean my house, wash the dishes, walk the dog, do my grocery shopping, and many more mundane activities.
- Review your expectations: how realistic are they?
- Check-in with your emotions: what is stopping me from gaining momentum?
And that's all for today.
Until next Sunday.
Stay awesome,
Lidia
