Ever find yourself hustling day and night on your coaching business but still not seeing the clients or revenue you want?
You’re not alone.
In my latest YouTube video, I reveal why being “busy” might actually be keeping you broke. As coaches, we often fill our days with activities that feel productive but don’t actually move the needle on what matters most: getting paying clients!
Here’s the uncomfortable truth I share in the video: if an activity doesn’t scare you at least a little bit, it’s probably not what you should be focusing on in the early stages of your business.
The 5 Activities to Cross Off Your To-Do List
In the video, I break down five categories of activities that might be keeping you stuck:
- Investing too much (time, energy, and money) in website, branding, and design – These can be great procrastination tools, but won’t bring you clients. Start with a simple MVP instead.
- Collecting diplomas and certifications – Whether it’s another coaching credential or the latest marketing course, excessive learning without implementation is just another way to avoid doing what scares you the most.
- Coaching people for free – After your first five free clients, it’s time to start charging. Getting your first paying clients is a crucial milestone.
- Focusing on creating content and building an audience – Don’t confuse content creator advice with coaching business advice. Building an audience takes 2-5 years; you need clients now.
- Changing strategies too quickly – Switching niches, platforms, or products before giving them enough time to work keeps you busy, overwhelmed, and… broke.
If you find yourself feeling busy but not seeing results, this video might be exactly what you need. As always, it’s fun and full of movie clips:
After you watch, I’d love to hear: which activity on the not-to-do list are you going to cross off first?
